The board game every family knows
Snakes and Ladders is the first board game many of us ever played: roll the die, count the squares, cheer at every ladder and groan at every snake. There is nothing to learn and nothing to plan, so a four-year-old can beat a grown-up, and that is exactly the fun.
On BeatMe the board comes to life. Tap the big die and watch it tumble, your pawn hops square by square, climbs up the ladders with a happy face and slides all the way down the snakes looking very surprised. Little sounds and stickers cheer along. Play side by side on two phones, or send the link to grandma and play across the country.
How to play Snakes and Ladders
Pick a board and send the link
The classic board has 100 squares; the quick one has 64, just right for little ones. Then send the beatme.link link to someone you love.
Tap the die
When it’s your turn the die wiggles. Tap it and your pawn hops forward. Roll a 6 and you get another turn!
Ladders up, snakes down
Land at the bottom of a ladder and climb up. Land on a snake’s head and slide down to its tail.
Reach the star
The first pawn on the last square, the one with the star, wins. Then play again on the same link.
The rules in short
- Both pawns start before square 1 and take turns.
- Roll and move as many squares as the die shows. A 6 gives you another roll.
- Ladders carry you up from their bottom, snakes take you down from their head.
- Easy finish: any roll that reaches the last square wins. Exact finish: you need the exact number, and if you roll too much you bounce back.
Made for kids
- Big buttons for small fingers, and a die that tells you when it’s your turn.
- No reading needed to play: just tap and watch.
- Funny faces and sounds on every ladder and snake. Turn the sound off with one tap if you like.
- No chat with strangers and no account: you only ever play the person you sent the link to.
Fair dice
The die is rolled on our server, so nobody can peek at the next number or cheat, not even a clever older sibling. Every roll is the same lucky chance for both players.
